The one area that I need to improve in is my mile time. I am lightning quick when I sprint but longer distances are another story. I will be updating my progress on here every day I run, which will eventually be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday once I get on schedule.

I have a history of shin splints and all sorts of overuse injuries so today I am just getting back into it. I have a bad headache and my knees really hurt. It was about 28 degrees when I ran so that probably had something to do with it. I used to have a mile of about 7:30 but my injuries stopped me from running for a while. My goal for January 3rd is 8:05.

I was not allowed to run this morning because it was pouring rain so I will either wait until it clears up to run or I will do a cardio workout. If I do not run today I will run tomorrow and the next day.

I got new running shoes and what a difference it made! I got down to 7:55 today, which is so much better than before! It is still not where it used to be but I have a feeling it will be soon. My goal for the end of the month is 7:25. My goal for tomorrow is 7:50. I think I can do it! Come back tomorrow for another update!

This was not the greatest time I have ever gotten. I have had brutal leg workouts the past few days so when I woke up this morning I can assure you that I was feeling the burn. I also did not pace myself correctly. I started out with like a 6 minute pace which I cannot keep up with for an entire mile just yet. My next run will be January 7, so that will give my legs time to recover. The goal for my next run is 7:55

This was an okay time so there is really nothing that stands out about it. I will not be doing miles for a while because I have a track workout I have to do now but I will keep you all updated on that. Today I also did something where I continuously jogged then sprinted.

Update: Mile time was 7:50 easily. I think I could get 7:40. Today I went on a 30 minute run and got 3.3 miles in. I did not get too out of breath, it is just that my knees and shins started to hurt. I go to pt tomorrow!
